Lake Oswego Ladies Golf Club Kicking Off 2024 Season
The Lake Oswego Ladies Golf Club (LOLGC) is welcoming new members to join them at the Charbonneau Golf Club (CGC) on Wednesday mornings starting April 3 for golf play. Since the Lake Oswego Municipal Golf Course is still closed due to renovations, LOLGC will continue to play in Charbonneau, a district of Wilsonville this season. LOLGC’s season runs April through October with early morning tee times for nine holes on one of CGC’s three executive-style courses.
Throughout their seven-month season, the club has social events, two month-long tournaments, and a spring and summer scramble. One year of LOLGC play membership costs $35, with the optional (and encouraged) addition of an OGA/GHIN membership for online handicap and score tracking (required for participation in club tournaments and to qualify for annual awards) for $41. Social membership is $10 for those who wish to attend club events, such as luncheons, but not play golf.
Club president Janelle Hixson, who has been golfing with the club for 10 years says, “We are a relaxed group of women who enjoy playing golf with each other! We are competitive, but we also have so much fun. “LOL” is in our name, and we laugh a lot!” All levels of play are welcomed, but a fundamental understanding of the game and basic golf skills is necessary, as LOLGC is not a teaching club.
Interested in golfing with LOLGC or learning more? If so, they welcome you to attend their opening breakfast on Wednesday, March 27 at 9:30 am. At this complimentary breakfast, there will be an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win prizes and learn more about the 2024 golf season. To RSVP to the breakfast, or for more information about the club, visit their website at www.lolgc.org.
