Awards and New Member Handicap Rule

Most Improved Award

This is determined by change in handicap from the beginning of LOLGC season through October 1. No action is required on the golfer's part. Winner is accounted at the end-of-year luncheon.

 

Putting Contest

This begins the first Wednesday in April and continues through September. A minimum of 12 games is required. Winners will be announced at the end-of-year luncheon. Always write your putts on the scorecards. Putts will be collected and totaled.

Chip-Ins and Birdies, Hole-In-One

Please initial CI for chip-ins on your scorecards and circle birdies. When reviewing scorecards, chip-ins and birdies will be provided to the chair of that committee for pins and end-of-year lunch recognition.

 

Tournaments

There will be a summer and fall tournament. All LOLGC members with an established handicap on the first day of the tournament are automatically included. No charge for participation. All rules of golf apply and there is no nine-stroke rule; all strokes are counted.

 

New Members

New members must play five nine-hole rounds with at least one established LOLGC member to acquire a handicap.
